Who Are We?

I am Lindsey.  I was born and raised in Nebraska.  My ancestors pioneered to Nebraska In the mid 1800's. My husband Bryan (a Pennsylvania native) and I met in California and have lived and traveled all over the country with our 5 children. 2 of our children are now adults living on opposite sides of the country, serving the Lord.   Elliot (18), Nina (15) and Simone (8) are still with us.

Our Vision

In September of 2020 on a mission through the clear direction and encouragement of the Lord, our family relocated to rural Nebraska, from the Los Angeles area, to establish the vision He would pour out.

Shortly thereafter, the name and vision for The Potter's Barn began to unfold...

Establish the gospel through Kingdom family in rural America, with multi-generational prayer, worship and creativity unto the Lord,.  Our emphasis has always been on the next generation.  Our own children, and others.  I was a Children's Pastor In LA. We envisioned a property In the country and a barn filled with Kingdom family, prayer, worship and creativity.

We believe this vision Is both literal and figurative.  One day may our barn be filled with people, with worship, and with the presence and creativity of the Lord.  But equally true, a barn represents the storehouses of God.  The spiritual treasures found In Christ. Much like the barns used In rural America to store up earthly treasures, we are the storehouses of God, carrying His treasures to a lost and dying world. These treasures come In the form of His power and His goodness, which He pours out on His children.

We spent a couple of years brooding over the vision while also experiencing a real wilderness season. Financial challenges, closed doors and health Issues.. After a couple of years, we moved Into our fifth wheel full time as an act of faith and obedience.  We soon realized we were being led even deeper Into the wilderness, with more questions than answers. But it's so often In these seasons that we find true life.  Jesus said, "He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for my sake will find it."  Matthew 10:39 NKJV

Because we are still in our tiny house on wheels on a little slab of concrete In Lincoln, Nebraska, we began to ask God what we could do to tangibly sow into the people and the vision He had given us.  We began to see ourselves being sent out to partner with and serve local churches In the surrounding small towns.  All that the original vision embraced, but on the road.
